A Sealife Incursion for Melbourne Primary School Students
Explore the depths of ocean life with our Under the Sea incursion!
Primary school students will become underwater divers, fish, dolphins, octopuses, jellyfish and seaweed, while learning about marine life and ocean habitats.
Through music, drama techniques and movement, students will delve into animal behaviour, sustainability and the effects of pollution on marine ecosystems.
This incursion helps meet VELS requirements for Prep to Year 2, particularly in areas of drama, environmental science and sustainability.
Teachers can seamlessly integrate Under the Sea with the curriculum, addressing drama outcomes by encouraging imaginative role-play and expressive movement.
Additionally, it supports science and environmental education, helping students understand living and non-living things, ocean life and the importance of marine conservation.
How does it work?
A Drama Toolbox primary school incursion brings one of our expert teachers to your school for a dynamic, 1-hour session with up to 30 students.
Students enjoy two costume changes, becoming characters like octopuses, jellyfish, divers and dolphins. Through role-play and storytelling, they engage in an exciting, hands-on learning adventure.
