Dive into the ocean world with the Under the Sea incursion, where primary school students explore marine life through dramatic play and movement. Students become underwater divers, rainbow fish, dolphins and other sea creatures, learning about ocean habitats, animal behaviour and the impact of pollution on marine ecosystems.
This incursion aligns with the NSW Curriculum, meeting outcomes in Drama, Science, English and Sustainability. It supports drama outcomes by fostering creativity and role-play, while also addressing science concepts such as living and non-living things, ecosystems and the importance of marine conservation.
By integrating music, drama, and environmental education, this incursion offers a comprehensive learning experience that enhances students’ understanding of both marine life and sustainability, while reinforcing key curriculum areas.
How does it work?
In a Drama Toolbox primary school incursion one of our awesome teachers visits your school to run a highly engaging, one hour session for up to 30 students.
Each student enjoys two costume changes, transforming into characters from captivating stories. Through imaginative role-play and interactive storytelling, students actively participate in an unforgettable, hands-on learning experience.
Under the Sea costumes include octopuses, jellyfish, divers, seaweeds, dolphins, sharks and fish.
