Habitat Helpers Drama Incursion – Bringing Sustainability to Life
Habitat Helpers offers a dynamic sustainability incursion designed for primary school students in Sydney. Led by skilled and experienced teachers, this drama incursion brings urgent environmental issues into the classroom through dramatic techniques. Students explore global ecological challenges such as pollution, deforestation and overfishing, while discovering how they can make a positive impact.
In this hands-on incursion, children step into the role of Habitat Helpers, working with Earth Girl or Earth Guy to tackle local and global sustainability problems. Using drama, puppetry, and creative role-play, students reflect on their personal connection to the world and explore ways to take meaningful action towards a more environmentally and socially just future.
Our drama incursions align with curriculum standards and provide follow-up resources that extend the learning beyond the workshop, making it an excellent choice for introducing or building on themes of sustainability, recycling and environmental responsibility.

How the Drama Incursion Works:
A skilled drama teacher will visit your school with costumes, props, and puppets for up to 30 students per session. Each sustainability drama incursion runs for one hour, with up to five sessions available per day.
